January 13, 2025, SIVAL (Angers): “SIVAL is an essential platform for Naïo Technologies to present our innovations and strengthen our connections with the agricultural community. The 2025 edition is particularly significant as it marks a decade of commitment to market gardeners with Oz, promoting more sustainable and efficient agriculture. We are excited to share our latest advancements, especially Naïo Companion, which embodies our vision of a connected and accessible agriculture,” says Aymeric Barthès, Co-founder of Naïo Technologies.
SIVAL (International Exhibition of Plant Production Techniques) is the largest French exhibition dedicated to specialized crops. Naïo Technologies has been part of this showcase of agricultural equipment and service innovations since 2014. The company holds a special affection for SIVAL, which supported it from the beginning and awarded it its first medal in the machinery category in 2015. Today, as a leader in agricultural robotics, Naïo Technologies remains loyal to this event.
Since its inception, Naïo Technologies has received several awards at SIVAL: a silver and a gold medal in 2015 for its robot Oz, and a silver medal in 2017 for Dino, the predecessor of Orio. The Toulouse-based company is now widely recognized by its peers and frequently receives other accolades. The most recent is the gold medal at the Vinitech-Sifel 2024 Innovation Trophy for its “Augmented Autonomy” concept. This CE-certified technology allows all Naïo Technologies robots to operate safely and without human supervision in the field, thanks to a certified safety system. This technology is easily usable via the Naïo Companion app available on smartphones and tablets (iOS and Android). It is the first comprehensive agricultural routine management solution suitable for small, diversified farms. This pioneering app, developed by the company, acts as an intelligent assistant that simplifies the management of agricultural tasks. Designed to be user-friendly, it enhances the precision and efficiency of interventions (task programming, robot movement, automation, and centralized management of production routines). The robot can be monitored remotely and in real-time, offering producers significant time savings and the chance to focus on higher-value tasks.
“I invested in the Oz robot in 2022 after my employee left, as I discovered it in a professional magazine. Today, I use it for mechanical weeding and to sow beans, zucchini, and pumpkins. Oz is a flexible tool that even helps transport loads. In addition to reducing the strain of some tasks, the robot is more precise and autonomous than a horse or a tractor. I can take on other farm tasks while the robot works in the field. It also has economic and ecological advantages as it doesn’t require fuel,” explains Philippe Sire from GAEC de la Milliassière in Pornic, a user of the Oz robot and Naïo Companion app.
Naïo Technologies, a pioneer in agricultural robotics, celebrated a decade of innovations in 2024. Oz, the first 100% electric field robot, redefined agricultural work by providing autonomous, simple, efficient, and sustainable solutions for farmers, arboriculturists, and diversified market gardeners. Over 300 Oz robots have been sold worldwide. For its 10th anniversary, a special edition of Oz with enhanced features was unveiled on September 16. Limited to 20 units—10 for France and 10 for international markets—each Oz anniversary edition features a new logo design commemorating its 10 years. Only a few units remain available.
Naïo Technologies’ fleet includes four robots: Oz, Orio, Ted, and Jo. The company is currently testing the simultaneous execution of two distinct cultural operations (soil work, vine trimming, and foliage management) to optimize its robots for producers. The brand, committed to sustainable and efficient agriculture, seeks to reduce the environmental and societal impact of food production through its innovations. Naïo Technologies is B Corp certified and recognized as a mission-driven company under the French PACTE law.
Naïo Technologies will be exhibiting at SIVAL in Angers from January 14 to 16, 2025 (Hall C, Stand 186). The brand will present the new features of its Oz robot and conduct demonstrations of the Naïo Companion app with the robot. Throughout the exhibition, Q&A sessions with Naïo Technologies experts will be held to discuss technological challenges and solutions in the sector.
